One Intention Coaching

I didn’t come to leadership through a single door.

I came through many: as a physician caring for people in crisis, as a lawyer navigating systems of power, as a gay man building a life in a world that has not always welcomed it, as a husband, a father, a son, and as a citizen of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma. I have lived inside both belonging and difference, protection and vulnerability. Those experiences didn’t just shape who I am — they shaped how I understand leadership.

Leadership is not just what we do.
It is who we become when we are tested.

I have spent my life watching what happens when people are pulled into moments of moral pressure — when fear, responsibility, loyalty, and identity collide. In those moments, technical skill matters, but something deeper matters more: the capacity to stay present, grounded, and human while making difficult choices.

That is the heart of my coaching.

I work with leaders, changemakers, and coaches who are navigating complexity — in their organizations, their communities, and their own lives. People who do not want to lead from reflex, ideology, or performance, but from clarity, conscience, and care.

My approach is not about optimization or control. It is about attention, discernment, and courage. Together we slow down enough to see what is actually happening — inside you and around you — so that your actions are aligned not just with your goals, but with your deepest values.

I hold this work with respect for how hard leadership really is, especially now. The world is loud, polarized, and quick to simplify. But human lives are not simple. Relationships are not simple. Real leadership is not simple.

I believe we can lead differently.

Not by retreating into certainty.
Not by numbing ourselves to harm.
But by staying awake, staying connected, and staying responsible for the impact we have on others.

That is what One Intention Coaching is here to support.
